Catalogue Note

Number 530 of the 500 copies (numbered 101 to 600), of which approximately 100 were bound in full vellum and 400 in half vellum. Though all copies in full vellum were supposed to carry Rackham's signature, the illustrator himself advised that only about twenty actually did. The largest Rackham plates ever printed are contained in this uncommon edition.
