A very rare—and possibly unrecorded—Lincoln assassination handbill, being an order for a day of mourning and reflection issued by J. C. McKee, the surgeon in charge of Lincoln General hospital in Washington, D.C. Lincoln General was established as a military hospital in December 1862, and was the largest such facility in the region.
