This photograph is an evidently unrecorded variant of Hamilton and Ostendorf O-14, printed in reverse from all of the published examples. This portrait was widely reproduced on campaign ribbons for the 1860 presidential election and was likely originally taken by Roderick M. Cole of Peoria, Illinois.
