Catalogue Note

A 1749 publication of Poor Richard's Almanack. The astronomical calculations are attributed to Theophilus Grew, and, according to Miller, it was advertised as "the first of the Poor Richards for which D[avid] H[all] had the full printing responsibility as B[enjamin] F[ranklin]'s new partner and active head of the shop." This is the first issue with the note on the circumference of the earth on the second page of March still reading "4000."
