A group of paper currency in various denominations (dollars, shillings, pence), a total of 26 bills, various sizes (ca. 2 3/4 x 3 34 in.; 70 x 90 mm), from Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, the United Colonies, and Continetnal Currency, 1773-1786; most worn, soiled, and creased, the Massachusetts bills cancelled. Together with: Massachusetts Committee of War. Promissory note (7 1/2 x 6 1/2 in.; 190 x 165 mm) in the amount of 50 pounds, dated 24 February 1777; some discoloration.
