Catalogue Note

Preparing for the attack on Fort Sumter. Beauregard requests the following from Ordnance: "I have the honor to request that you will furnish to mr. D. Lopez, from the Arsenal, the following articles, viz. manoeuvring bars for Columbiad guns & wrenches, traverse wheels for babette chassis with circles and wheels for the same gun—and anything else that may assist him in fulfilling the orders on which he is engaged."
