Catalogue Note

First edition. Lindley (1799-1865) was employed by Sir Joseph Banks in his library and herbarium in Soho Square. The present work is devoted to new or little-known plants, the majority orchids. The fine plates are after designs by Ferdinand Bauer, Lindley, J. Curtis, William Hooker, and others.

A beautiful, clean copy.
