First edition, inscribed by Clementine Churchill: "To Mrs. Williams from Clementine S. Churchill Christmas 1948" and signed "Winston S. Churchill" on front free endpaper. Although he is best known for his service as prime minister of Great Britain during World War II, Churchill was also a painter and produced many works of art over his lifetime.
