First edition, with both title and portrait in second state. A richly illustrated compilation of English voyages. "An early and important collected edition of Cook's three voyages" (HNB), attempting to provide a complete set of Cook's voyages at a lower price. Also contained are the voyages of John Byron, Samuel Wallis, Philip Cartaret, Lord Mulgrave, Lord Anson and Sir Francis Drake.
