Catalogue Note
In this story, the Scarecrow attempts to depose the evil King Krewl but is captured and sentenced to be burned at the stake (seeprevious lot). The Ork arrive just in time to attack the Jinxlanders and Krewl and save Scarecrow. The victorious party then arrives at Blinkie's and forces her to undo her magic on Cap'n Bill and Princess Gloria by using a magic powder to shrink her in size. When she has undone her evil spells, the Scarecrow stops Blinkie's shrinking, but she remains at a small size and loses all her magic powers. In the present illustration, the Ork—ostrich-like creatures with four legs that are powered by a propeller in their posteriors—seize Blinkie, whom Neill has depicted as surprised as she is terrified to find herself airborne.
