A group of accessories belonging to Gene Kelly, including many gifts from his film co-workers, most accompanied by autograph notes by Kelly presenting the items to his daughter; comprising:



1) Gold cufflinks depicting ballet slippers, signed Ruser (William Ruser was a jeweler in Beverly Hills during Gene Kelly's heyday), engraved on the terminals "To Gene" and "From Cyd," 14K, gross weight = 8.6 dwts (13.3 grams); lightly scratched on surface. Note reads "From Cyd CH to Gene to Kerry." Cyd Charisse danced with Kelly in Singin' in the Rain, Brigadoon, and It's Always Fair Weather.



2) Gold, coral, colored stone, and diamond cufflinks depicting dancers, engraved "Gene Kelly Thanks From John Springer," 2 diamonds (+/- .10 cts), 2 rubies, 2 sapphires, 2 cabochon sapphires, gross weight = 7.7 dwts (11.9 grams), diamonds approx. GH/VS, decorative quality faceted sapphires and rubies are bright and lively; light scratching to gold surfaces. John Springer was a Hollywood publicist and film historian. Kelly wrote the introduction to his 1966 book, All Talking! All Singing! All Dancing! Note reads "From John Springer to Gene to Kerry."



3) Gold cufflinks, ca. 1880, in a box embossed "J. Partridge of London, Ltd. New York," gross weight = 3.9 dwts (6.06 grams); lightly scratched throughout. With an autograph note from Carol Haney presenting the cufflinks to Kelly, "Dear Gene, Have a happy Christmas! Much love from a Sorrel—Car XX." Kelly's note reads "From Carol Haney to Gene to Kerry." Haney was Kelly's protégé, a highly successful Broadway and Hollywood choreographer, dancer, and actress.



4) 14K gold and base metal medallion, center 14K gold medallion of Saint Genesius (patron saint of actors and dancers, among others) lettered "Guide my Destiny," engraved on reverse "Gene Kelly for Service beyond duty Dev. Arthur Freed," back of gilt-metal plaque signed "Pierre Michel," with brown leather case gilr-stamped "G.K."; gilt-metal tarnished, gold medal discolored, case lightly worn. Arthur Freed began as a lyricist but became one of Hollywood's most successful producers. He produced An American in Paris and Singin' in the Rain. Note reads "Arthur Freed to GK to Kerry (American in Paris)."



5) Gold tie bar (2 3/4 x 3/8 in.), 14K, gross weight = 4.7 dwts (7.3 grams); lightly scratched on the surface. Note reads "From Shirley MacLaine to Gene to Kerry." MacLaine and Kelly starred together in What A Way to Go! (1964).



6) 10K gold-plated pocket watch, Bulova, manual movement, currently running, 1 3/3 in. diameter, with cloth pouch signed Omega Swiss made; cracked crystal, lightly scratched on surface. With note "To Gene to Jack [his son-in-law]." 



7) Sterling silver cufflinks depicting donkey heads, gross weight = 5.5 dwts (8.5 grams); heavily tarnished. 



8) Gilt-metal music box/keychain (operable), plays "Sakura," gross weight = 28.3 dwts (44 grams); nicking and scratching to surface.
