Description

  • lapis lazuli, steel
consisting of three kard daggers, each with a lapis-lazuli hilt and a long tapering steel blade with a flat back edge, one dagger with a plain gilt guard with incised number 202, the scabbard decorated with blue velvet and plain gilt mounts, another dagger with a gilt and engraved guard and blue gemstone, the scabbard with red velvet and gilt mounts decorated with four incised ornamental motifs, the third dagger with a silver guard extending onto the blade, engraved and incised with floral scrolls, the scabbard with dark blue velvet and silver mounts engraved to one side and incised on the other with similar floral scrolls 

Condition

All three in general good condition, two with broken and restored hilts, the velvet rubbed, few knocks to mounts on scabbards consistent with age, as viewed.
