Description
- agate and gilt metal mounts
of rectangular, x-shape form, composed of agate plaques carved with a central flowerhead framed with floral cornerpieces, the bracketed legs carved ensuite with flowerhead sections to top angles and a palmette above lobed arch, mounted in a gilt-metal frame decorated with floral and geometric designs
Condition
In fairly good condition, some inclusions to the agate, the bracketed legs with crack near foot to one panel, the other also with crack and missing carved palmette decoration, as viewed.
