the curved watered-steel blade with central groove in the form of a snake, chiselled at the forte with hunters on horseback with gold-overlaid border, the ivory hilt wholly carved with enthronement and other courtly scenes in the archaistic Achaemenid style, the top of the pommel carved with a lion attacking a bull, wooden scabbard covered with patterned silk

overall in good condition, some rubbing to the textile on the scabbard, the ivory in good condition, as viewed.
