Arabic manuscript on paper, 163 leaves plus 3 flyleaves, 13 lines to the page, written in naskh script in black and red ink, verses separated by segmented florets and roundels pointed in white, orange and blue, margins ruled in red, black and gold, illuminated gold or plain headings, mostly written in white or red thuluth script, catchwords, two illuminated marginal devices, opening illuminated floral headpiece in colours and gold with punched decoration, double page illustration of Mecca and Medina in watercolours, framed with gold borders, three further illuminated headpieces on polychrome and gold grounds, dark red morocco binding with punched and painted rigorous interlace of split palmettes, with flap

In good overall condition, pages generally clean, ink bold and illumination bright, very few minor stains and smudges, binding and flap repaired, as viewed.
