Condition

Generally even 3mm pile. Band of low pile in upper border section and areas in the vertical axis, where the pile is down to the knot-heads in sections. There is a strip of abrash towards the top of the main field, and within this strip there is a small (2-2.5cm) central section with pile down to the knot-heads. Some minor loss of pile within the blue narrow outer border, see top right edge. Knotted fringes at both ends, overlocked. Irregular lengths to fringe and lacking in sections, especially along the top edge. Lower end is irregular and not straight across in width. Lovely colour balance and still evidence of pale yellow used in the motifs. Elegant design, with flexible handle. EMBARGO ON IMPORTATION OF PERSIAN/IRANIAN WORKS OF ART TO THE USA.
