- Approximately 207 by 135cm; 6ft. 9in., 4ft. 5in.
Condition
Generally even 3-5mm pile overall. Fine, dense pile. Original side cords with some losses and repairs in sections. At some point the rug has been folded in four and has had to be repaired in the central axis. Area of small shaped reweave in the centre (approx. 8cm. by 1cm.), which has been well executed in slightly lighter silk, and is barely noticeable. Smaller minor areas in motifs on central axis. Outer most end guards with crenellations at both ends are rewocen to depth of 8cm, with new silk knotted fringes. Charming motifs and good overall design and colour balance. Unusual teal coloured central medallion. Could be used on the floor, in area of light foot traffic (for example bedroom). Rug might benefit from a light and gentle clean.
