Description

  • ink, paint, heightened with gold on paper mounted on canvas
Arabic manuscript on paper mounted on canvas, thirty columns with alternating green, orange and beige backgrounds, each with 248-250 lines of text written in naskh script in black ink, verses separated by gold roundels, intercolumnar rules in blue, borders filled with polychrome floral scrolls and cartouches heightened with gold

Condition

In good condition, some creases where once folded, some ware and rubbing consistent with age, parts of inscription re-stored, possibly during time of creation, as viewed.
