the broad base of stepped bulbous form rising to a long, thin, cylindrical neck with mouldings, decorated throughout with engraved floral sprays with pointillé decoration and later engraved inscriptions dated to 1276 AH/ 1860 AD
Condition
In good condition, some slight dents, particularly to base, rubbing to gilding consistent with age, as viewed.

From among the candlesticks endowed by the owner of good deeds and one desirous of distinction, the Director of the Chief Post Office Edirnli İzzet Paşa Efendi to the lodge of Hazret-i Mevlana in the above mentioned city. Dhu'l-Qa'dah, Year 1276 (May-June 1860).
