Description
- steel, turquoise and coral
the curved steel blade with flat back edge and gold-overlaid inscription in a cartouche to the centre of the blade and in a star and roundel to each side near the forte, the hilt with a curved pommel and quillons, set with drop-shaped turquoise beads and smaller, round turquoise beads, the scabbard with similar inlaid coral and turquoise decoration arranged in star-form motifs, with two bands and one suspension loop, the reverse with repoussé floral motifs and an architectural scene
Condition
In general good condition, some wear to coral beads and some replaced with paste, the metal mounts slightly dented, one or two turquoise and green stones missing, some oxidisation to blade and on hilt and scabbard, a suspension loop missing on scabbard, as viewed.
