Description

the curved watered steel blade with flat back edge, widening and with double-edged point, with gold inscription and designs, the hilt with curved pommel and chased floral decoration and enamelling, the cross-guard set with coral, turquoise and a green stone, with engraved decoration to other side, the scabbard with matching chased and enamelled floral motifs, featuring lobed roundels with alternating monuments, bouquets and inscriptions, mounted with two bands and hooks with a flower-head pattern set in turquoise, coral and a green stone, engraved to other side 

Condition

In general good condition, some restorations, some enamel on hilt missing, some slight wear to inset stones, few dents consistent with age, the blade with minor oxidisation particularly near the forte, some scratches and rubbed gold overlay, as viewed.
