the straight, seventeenth century blade with central ridge and gold overlaid decoration at the chape, the marine ivory hilt set with silver and coral inlaid decoration comprising two rosettes with enamelling on one side and two coral beads to the other, with a vertical repoussé band set with coral, the silver scabbard decorated with chased floral designs, some restoration
Condition
In general good condition, some rubbing to gold overlay on blade and oxidisation on blade, some missing enamel on rosettes and on scabbard, the ivory hilt with one small round carving, possibly once with a coral inset, as viewed.
