Description

  • silver and steel
the slender and slightly curved blade of finely-watered steel with later gold-overlaid inscription to one edge and within a cartouche to each side near the forte, the silver hilt with palmette quillons and angled pommel, engraved with floral designs and flowerhead mounts, tughra stamp on grip, the silver scabbard also engraved with floral scrolls and a band with suspension loop

Condition

In general good condition, some dents to scabbard, particular ware near the end, some light oxidisation on blade, gold-overlaid inscription added, as viewed.
