- gold and silver inlaid steel
of domed form with spike and foliate nose-guard flanked by two plume holders, openwork decoration comprising lobed arabesques containing inscriptions decorated with overlaid gold, the rim with calligraphic cartouches, foliate scroll on spike and stylised face to nose-guard, with chainmail neck-guard
Condition
In general good condition, some rubbing to surface and slight abrasion consistent with age, the interior metallic plaque with some breaks and metal stitches, including some oxidisation to base, one plume holder broken and missing, spiked finial slightly bent at top, as viewed.
