Arabic manuscript on paper, 48 leaves plus 4 flyleaves, generally 5 lines to the page in tawqi' script in red blue and black ink, some pages with intelinear Persian translation in nasta'liq script, other pages written diagonally and within squares, roundels and charts, margins ruled in red and gold, opening illuminated double page with headpiece in colours and gold, decorated with polychrome flowers, outer margins filled with leafy vines, lacquer binding painted with naturalistic flowers, with corresponding doublures 

Condition

In good overall condition, spine repaired, some paper repairs and occasional smudging, as viewed.

This manuscript was copied for a Qajar Princess Malik-zadeh, daughter of a Prince (shah-zadeh-zadeh) by Muhammad al-Tabib al-Isfahani son of al-Hajj Mirza Mahdi in 1244 AH/1828-9 AD. One other prayer book by the scribe dated 1245 AH/1829-30 AD is recorded in the Gulistan Palace Library, Tehran (Mehdi Bayani, Ahval va athar-e khawshnavisan, vol. IV, Tehran, 1358, p.137).
