  • enamel and diamondsand rubies
both of annular form, the hinged clasps rendered in the form of two confronting elephants with entwined trunks, decorated with white, pink, green and light blue enamels, the interior with lotus heads, the exterior and makaras set with diamonds and carved rubies

Condition

Both in good condition, one ruby possibly replaced, as viewed.

The pink and white enamel is typical of jewellery produced in Benares (Varanasi) in north India.
