lacquered papier-maché box with rounded ends and sliding tray, decorated with gilt lobed panels depicting scenes from the story of Sheikh Sanan, the sides decorated with hunting and pastoral scenes between oval frames featuring female portraits and one male portrait, the base and internal walls with polychrome floral scrolls against a gold ground, signed on central panel
Condition
In general good condition, some very minor ware to interior and along external edge of foot consistent with age, as viewed.
