each with a red marble top above two cupboard doors decorated with floral marquetry bearing the stamp C. Cressent, JME

Provenance

The deceased owner Mrs. Sophie Gurney was the granddaughter  of Charles Robert Darwin (1809–1882).

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. One marble top has several restored breaks, the other one has a break to the rear corner which can easily be restored. There are minor chips, marks and scratches to the tops and the veneer throughout consistent with age and use.
