  • 90cm. high, 120cm. wide, 40cm. deep; 2ft. 11½in., 3ft. 11¼in., 1ft. 3¾in.
in the manner of George Smith, with an adjustable shelf, the back with a depository label, the back legs replaced

Condition

This piece has a lovely colour and patina. There are old marks consistent with age and use. The back legs may have been replaced.

Catalogue Note

In 1808 George Smith published his Collection of Designs for Household Furniture and Interior Decoration. The plain  frieze ornamented with roundels, the carved corbels and the carved animalier type feet are motifs which frequently occur in various forms in his designs.
