  • 83cm. high, 151cm. wide, 73cm. deep; 2ft. 8¾in., 4ft. 11½in., 2ft. 4¾in.
crossbanded in tulipwood, the top inlaid with an urn and scrolls, the frieze with palmettes on carved turned legs (later decorated)

Condition

A very decorative piece. The top is generally good although there is a loss to the crossbanding at the back. The satinwood is attractively figured. The top is very slightly off centre. There is some craquelure to the inlay and there are some filled separations to the satinwood ground. The later decorated freize has some losses, there are also splits to this surface, where the joined elements of this bow are visible. There are also chips to this painted decoration. There are some chips to the legs.
