- 47cm, 18 1/2 in high
hinged cover, male and female figural finial, squirrel thumbpiece, the foot rim engraved with a later presentation inscription dated 1896, stamped 'HUNT & ROSKELL LATE STORR & MORTIMER'
Condition
Marks and condition excellent aside from one small area of scratching about 1" long on the edge of the cover, Hunt & Roskell stamp along the edge of the foot, nice heavy gauge

The foot rim inscribed 'This Tankard with three other pieces of plate, was presented to Henry Cosmo Orme Bonsor, Esq: M.P by the Subscribers in grateful acknowledgment of many important services rendered to all classes of this brothers in trade during. A period of stress and difficulty, whilst firmly and successfully insisting on the justice of their claims he always acted with moderation and a due sense of public interests. January. 29th 1896.'
