Description

  • 87cm. high, 121cm. wide, 66cm. deep; 2ft. 10¼in., 3ft. 11¾in., 2ft. 2in.
with a serpentine quarter-veneered top above four drawers inlaid with trelliswork intersected by a flowerhead within a border of elliptical motifs and flowerheads, with canted stiles inlaid to simulate fluting, the sides centred by a segmentally veneered roundel inlaid with a ribbon-tied floral bouquet, on bracket feet with later gilt-brass mounts throughout; the reverse with a printed Russian trade label

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. The top has possibly been reveenered and there are old minor restorations to the top and moulded border. Old very minor marks, chips and restorations generally which have been very well executed and are hardly noticeable. The blocks on the rear feet are later.The handles and escutcheons on the bottom drawer are different to the rest and internal lockplates are missing. The piece has possibly been rebacked.
