Description

  • 30.5cm., 12in.
the ovoid body with short flared neck and double rope-twist handles, painted on a testa di cavallo shield with the arms of the Ridolfi family of Florence, within a laurel wreath reserved against a ground of peacock feathers in ochre, manganese, green and blue, marked TB below one handle ( some restoration)

Condition

Broken and well restored, with what seem to be few losses. Areas of repainting around the shoulders and both handles, one of which is probably re-stuck, and along right side of shield. Rim and foot with typical chips. Some minor flaking.
