Description

la panse octogonale à pans coupés reposant sur trois pieds en forme de béliers, chaque facette décorée d'un lotus surmontée d'une chauve-souris encadrée de rinceaux stylisés, ce décor se répétant sur l'épaulement agrémenté de deux anses formées de dragons en bronze doré, le couvercle en cuivre doré à décor mouvementé ajouré de deux paires de dragons se faisant face autour de la perle sacrée, surmonté d'une étroite bande de lotus dans des rinceaux et d'un fretel en forme de lion shishi, comprenant des éléments antérieurs, socle en bois (3)

Condition

Censer : very heavy ; one rear back leg of one ship is broken and missing ; an area of restoration (3.5 x 3cm) to the enamels to one angle of one face of the censer otherwise the censer is in good overall condition with expected light wear to the gilding. Cover : made of 3 different parts slightly loose ; small losses to the enamels along the rim ; the gilding slightly worn as expected.
