Provenance

Acquired in China in th 1920's, thence in the family by descent.

Condition

One jade plaque is missing as visible on the catalogue illustration. The big plaque has a 4 cm chip to the rim and a 6 cm long area of fritting to the rim also. The small plaque is in good overall condition. The extremity of the wood sceptre with a 4.5 x 1.5 cm part broken and re-stuck. The wood part in the middle has also been re-stuck.
