Accélérant le mouvement ferme du buste - accompagné par les mains posées sur les hanches, pouces relevés-, la tête s'impose au premier plan, le visage tendu vers l'avant. A l'idéal de beauté Kongo - bouche charnue très finement modelée, nez aquilin aux ailes dilatées, dents limées en pointes, sourcils hachurés, oreilles détaillées - s'ajoute le port de la calotte finement tressée des dignitaires Yombé, permettant d'identifier cette statuette, selon toute vraisemblance, à une effigie commémorative.
