Catalogue Note
Selon Marc Felix (1995, p. 196), "quelques figurines étaient portées en collier par certains dignitaires". Ces statuettes Bembé destinées à être suspendues au cou sont rares. Celle-ci se distingue également par la singularité des scarifications ornant l'abdomen et les hanches, et par la superbe finesse des traits, mise en valeur par les éclats de faïence et par la très belle patine nuancée, profonde.
