Portées par les femmes, les chevillières ornées de motifs animaliers – le plus souvent des reptiles, comme ici – leur étaient vraisemblablement prescrites par les devins afin de les protéger, dans leurs tâches de la vie quotidienne, contre les crocodiles (Wheelock, 2007, p. 432). Superbe interprétation des sauriens – très rarement représentés par paire - émergeant en bas reliefs, associant à l'élégance du dessin la très grande finesse de la fonte.
