Portant à son paroxysme l'esthétique des masques Bassa, le visage s'étire en deux plans tendus vers l'avant, mettant en valeur les signes de beauté arrangés par la main de l'homme : nervure médiane finement scarifiée, coiffure élaborée en une succession de tresses serrées, et traces du kaolin qui surlignait à l'origine les traits. Très belle patine d'usage.
