Catalogue Note
Reproduisant avec une remarquable finesse le visage aux traits géométriques polychromes et aux lignes tendues des masques des Pende de l'Est, cette miniature constituait la "tête" d'un instrument de divination galukoji. La puissante dynamique des lignes est accentuée par le mouvement contraire des lignes scarifiées envahissant le visage, et des touffes de longs poils de bovidé formant la barbe.
