Condition

This work is in good condition. The blue glaze is much deeper and less purple than it appears in the catalogue illustration. A close inspection reveals some shrinkage in the black pigment and some very minor hairline craquelure in the white pigment. There is a light build-up of surface dust, notably in the crevices, and a few small spots of paint-loss inside the rim of the opening which appears to be due to bubbling and inherent to the artistic process.
