Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down. The sheet is fixed to the over-mount at the centre of the upper edge. There are remnants of old framer's tape along the edges. The little zones of bubbling visible in the yellow pigment of the figure's body and in the catalogue illustration are inherent to the drying process of the gouache. A close inspection reveals a few minor flattened creases along the right edge and a thin line of surface abrasion to the lower right edge. Apart from some light time-staining and scattered spots of faint foxing, this work is in very good original condition.
