Condition
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue's illustration.
The paper is laid down on its original canvas, slighlty lose in the upper left corner.
Are visible under close-up inspection:
-two traces of wears in the two upper corners,
-one pinhole at the extremity of the lower right corner,
-one trace of pencil (approx. 1,5 cm) in the lower right quadrant
-2 light superficial scuffs in the middle of the upper edge.
This work is in excellent condition.

" Soulages recourt peu au papier de 1974 à 1976, mais en 1977, alors qu'il ne réalise aucune peinture sur toile, il peint une centaine de papiers [...]. A côté de quelques touches rectilignes noires sur blanc dominent les droites noires tendant à l'orthogonalité [...] calmes, souvent rectangulaires, jouant sur la transparence dans une luminosité aérienne."
