Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is lighter in the original. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. Under UV light, there is no evidence of any retouching. A small area of a very few thin cracks located 7 cm from the right edge and 45 cm from the upper edge is only visible under very close inpection. Three minor losses of paint (less than 2 mm x 2 mm each) are only visible under close inspection : - one located 16 cm from the left edge and 40 cm from the lower edge - one located 15 cm from the left edge and 39 cm from the lower edge - one located 14 cm from the left edge and 33 cm from the lower edge. This work is in excellent condition.
