  • An Etruscan Bronze Figure of Hermes
  • Bronze
  • Height from base 6 1/4 in. 15.9 cm.
standing with the weight on his right leg and his right hand on his hip, and wearing winged boots and himation over the shoulders and left forearm, a kerykeion formerly cradled in his left arm.

Condition

As shown. Most of fingers on proper left hand missing. Nose abraded. Cylindrical tenon on crown of head. Surface somewhat pitted on front and worn on back. Proper right leg possibly repaired above shoe.
