  • A Paestan Red-Figure Neck Amphora, Attributed to Python
  • Terracotta
  • Height 19 3/4 in. 50.2 cm.
the body painted in front with Eros reaching up to grasp a fillet held up by a draped woman with open box and fillet in her left hand, and on the the reverse with a nude youth holding a thyrsus and skewer of fruit, and a draped woman with wreath and fillet, the neck decorated on one side with a siren holding a skewer of fruit and tambourine, and on the other with a head of a woman turned to left; the details in added red, yellow, and white.
