Condition
The canvas has been relined. Under UV light there is retouching around a 7cm vertical repaired tear in his beard and upper chest, and along the right edge. There is some hairline craquelure visible under close inspection, notably in his right sleeve and face.
Held in an elaborate faded gold-painted wood and plaster frame.
