Condition
Oil on cradled panel. There are two vertical cracks in the panel, one 18cm in the sky in the upper left, and one intermittent to the left of the tree extending through the panel, both with associated thin strokes of retouching, and scattered thin lines and minor spots of retouching, notably addressing craquelure above the horizon to the left (with some areas of hairline craquelure, notably around the horizon) and in the standing figure. The painting appears to have been cleaned in the past with some associated thinning of the paint surface.
Held in a decorative coved and fluted gold-painted carved wood and plaster frame.
