  • Ink, Gouache and Gold on Paper
Arabic manuscript on paper, laid down on cloth, fixed to a wood spindle at one end, the other end with an illuminated floral headpiece in colours and gold, text written in Naskh script in black ink, key words picked out in gold, verses separated by gold florets pointed in blue and red, ruled in colours and gold, 3 large illuminated roundels incorporating the names of Allah and the Prophets, other names within red roundelsd, with a cylindrical leather case

Condition

In generally good overall condition, some minor tears and abrasions to leather case, occasional smudges, illumination bright, as viewed.
