Condition
Original canvas (both), one (Ladies in the Hammam) with 4 by 4cm and 6.5 by 4cm patches on the reverse and associated retouching on the surface; there are scattered spots of retouching visible under UV light in both works, though this is minor or negligible in the figures. Some minor areas of hairline craquelure are visible under close inspection and each has a light stretcher mark.
Each held in a black painted frame, with a gold-painted outer and beaded inner borders.
